About us

Nomads.usp – the Center for Interactive Living Studies of the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil – has been producing readings on the theme of contemporary living, by relating it to different areas of knowledge, such as architecture, urban studies, art, anthropology, cinema, computer science, demography, design, cultural studies, history, social sciences, among others.

In the Center’s studies, dwelling is understood as a system, in which multiple aspects of the daily life of urban dwellers are developed, in the concrete, virtual and hybrid dimensions and their combinations.

In the CON: FINIS Project, Nomads.usp connects its extensive experience in studies of housing and ways of living with its explorations of the use of documentary film as a means for developing readings and expressions of urban dynamics.
